My Personal Story
It was 1986 and I was alone in a field picking strawberries when I clearly heard a voice telling me that I would be giving birth to a baby at the age of forty-four.
The message was interesting but highly improbable as there were a few problems with what I had been told. I wasn’t married. I was thirty-nine years old at the time which was well beyond what was considered the birth-bearing years. I was recently divorced and I had an adopted daughter so having additional children was not even a thought.
I did happen to remarry a year later but the probability of giving birth to a child became even less likely when in 1990 I was diagnosed with a growth on my thyroid and the doctor said that I would need to undergo a hysterectomy. That, of course, would eliminate any possibility of having a baby.
But…., the hysterectomy did not take place and I did become pregnant and in 1991 gave birth to my beautiful son at the age of forty-four - just as the voice had said.
My doctor said that I was like an 18 year old and should have more babies. My husband said he would not trade me for two twenties.
Over the years I have continued to hear these voices and always count them as a pure blessing.
