DOES YOUR MOTHER KNOW WHERE YOU ARE? - Part One

We all have unusual habits. Well, I suppose we do anyway. One of mine was that when I am left alone at night I want a quick exit. If someone where to sneak into the house I want a quick out, so I leave one door open while everything else is locked up tight. (Somewhat insane, I know. I don’t do this anymore but I did when I was young. It seemed to make sense to me at the time.)

On this particular occasion it was the bedroom window that I left open. We were into our first year of marriage. My husband was still in the military and on an assigned trip so I was alone. The empty house made me extremely anxious and apprehensive. I did go to sleep but it was a nervous sort of sleep.

late into the night I woke up and saw someone standing at the foot of the bed. Sharp stings of anxiety went zippy throughout my body. I was in a panic mode but unable to move or make a sound.

My thought was, “How dare you come in here and scare me like this!”

Somehow he heard my thoughts and replied, “I don’t mean to frighten you but you do need to listen. You need to hear and understand what I am about to tell you.”

“Oh, just great, what are you going to tell me,” I thought to myself.

He replied, “You are going to have a stranger come into your room that wants to hurt you and you need to know that I will be there with you at all times.”

I was solidly aware that the figure at the end of my bed was not going to do me any harm but I replied in my thoughts, “But my fear level is so intense at this moment that I will never be able to sleep.”

Why on earth my concern at that moment was about being able to sleep, I have NO idea! But that is what I was thinking. Within a fraction of a second I was back to sleep, this time a very solid sound sleep.

When I awoke in the morning I thought about what had happened. Was it a dream?

No! It was not a dream.

Was it someone I know! No! The figure was something like ten feet tall and much larger than a person.

Was it someone sent by God?

Yes. That this messenger came from God and wanted to give me a warning did not seem that unusual. What was questionable, however, was just what was I supposed to do with this information? I had just witnessed a representative sent by God…..but why???
